Hiiii I dont consume rice during night.Actually taking limited food during night will ease the digestion of the food. But when we consume rice it becomes too heavy..I will feel like something i hav consumed lot eventhough if i eat very less quantity.. Comeon friends start sharing your views regarding this...

I used to have rice when I was doing my Schooling. Thats because, I will bring breakfast as lunch. So the only time that I can eat rice is during night. I loved to have that at that time. Because I will be terribly hungry when I come home. Now I don't do that. I will prefer having dosa. But if its fish curry, I can't control myself. I will go with rice. Hehe. Lol. Happy mylotting.

i eat only tiffin in nights. i don't think it's bad for health, but the amount of rice taken should be less, because the digestion is slower in nights as we don't do any job...just sleep. for diabetic people rice is a big no. chapatti advisable for them. happy mylotting!

What happens is that carbohydrate gives us enerygy, because your body starts moving, basically being active it uses the sugar in your body. Breakfast should be rich in carbohydrates because as you go on throughout the day your body will use more and more of energy....At night your body don't need any energy as they will not be used up... Eating rice or carbohydrate food at night generally makes me feel stuffy and sleepy.... So i personally avoid eating rice at night however that being our staple diet... :-)

Normally when you eat stuffy or heavy food at night then go to sleep, the calories are not used up but in the morning you need the energy and the calories also get burned up during your daily activities.

Idont think that it is good for our health because I just read an article that eating rice after 8:00 PM would definitely make you fat because the food is not digested properly which then resulting into excess fat, that is why I would not recommend it.Hope you liked my response, have a nice day.

I eat less rice at night and eat lots of it in the morning because when it's eaten in the morning, it has greater chances of being consumed during the day and thus not stored in the body as compared to rice eaten at night when there are no activities left to do and leaves rice stored in the body useless.
