Today's Tarot Card

The Grand Canyon - The view from the Grand Canyon North Rim. I thought this was appropriate. This was the first vacation I took as an adult on my own with my husband.

Today I drew the 10 of wands. Wands- According to my handy dandy tarot card books Wands are associated with fire, Aries (my husband is an Aries), Leo (my mom is a Leo) and Sagittarius. Wands are represented by batons, staves, scepters, rods, staffs, and clubs. Traits of the wand include energetic, cheerful, outgoing, vital, enthusiastic, fun loving, active, resourceful, travel, inspirational, creative, leadership, restless, pioneering and shallow. According to me Wands represent creativty and possible work. You might have lots of work ahead of you and to accomplish it you will use creative processes. You want to grow and that will take work. 10 According to my handy dandy tarot card book 10's are the ending, a final transformation, preparing for a new cycle, rebirth, one too many, a group of people, going too far, or perfection. According to me 10 representd the end or perfection or perhaps a rotation in a circle. Who knows where I get some of this. The 10 of wands According to my hand dandy tarot card book The 10 of wands represents burdens of success. Your working overtime because of your sucess. Biting off more then you can chew. You made your bed now lie in it. According to me You may have finally gotten the sucess you wish, now what? Are you happy, do you not want it anymore? Are you going to move on to the next this? This is time to look back reflect and adjust. You have climbed the mountain, taken in the view now are you going to build a house and live there or walk down and live in a retirement community. You don't like the view and you went through all the effort, well that is upsetting are you going to try to make lemonade or are you going to throw away the lemons and start over? This is a time for big decisions. 10

To me the ten of wands interprets oppression of some kind . Slowing down and not working as much , pacing yourself . If one doesn't take the time to slow down they will feel over committed and everything will feel like more of a strain then usual . Not a good time for making decisions as it prevents good judgement . Others would see you as having too many things going on at once . Someone who is stressed and overworked to the point where you have little time or energy to get all that you need done in the run of a day .

That is what my book said, but that wasn't how I felt when I held the card in my had. I got an image of a hiker and he got to the top of the hill and before he stopped to take a breath and enjoy his hard work, he ran over to the look and their was an instance look of disgust on his face. That look of disgust was what I felt the card represented.
