best site to listen to music online?

Imeem is a good website. However, there are songs that you only hear for 30 seconds - a sort of preview. That's because I think they lack legal rights so that's all you can hear from those songs. But you can automatically play the next related song so you can stick to the same genre and just keep on listening for free. They offer streaming music and video. And yes, you do have to register (for free).

There a couple of websites that I use all the time, you have to register for both of them but I find its well worth the five or ten minutes that it takes to register. The first one is project playlist... its got a lot of good music. The other site that I like a lot is live365 its a whole bunch of online radio stations in every genre and language you could think of. The only downside to live365 is that some of the radio stations are limited to VIP listeners and you have to pay for that but I love that site personally.
