Hello there, I keep coming across discussions about showering etc, what you do in the shower, what time of day do you shower etc. Now we don't have a shower in our house, we can't be the only family on here who doesn't have a shower in our house. So only tell me here is you have NO shower in your house like our family. Thank you

No you are not the only family here that does not have a shower in their house. We do not have a shower in ours either. I thought I was the only one that did not have a shower in their house!!

It's not a cultural norm here in the Philippines to have a shower or bath tub. We commonly use a pail/bucket and a water dipper. Some households do have a shower and a bath tub, but the tub comes rarely. We have a shower in our house, though.

yup that's true. I'm living here in the Philippines. We have a shower a year ago but my mom said it's a waste of water so we got it removed. She's being environmental so up to now we stick to pail/bucket and water dipper.

I don't know of any houses in montreal without a shower, it is a standard. But I guess their could be. It is just very rare.

I live in a rented flat and don't have a shower only a bath, I don't miss a shower I'm happy just taking baths and feel just as clean after a bath as I would a shower. A lot of people seem to think you don't get as clean from a bath but I disagree, as long as you get out soon after you have washed yourself it's no less hygienic than a shower.

When we bought our apartment, it came with a shower already fixed. So we left the shower there. It's hardly used now but will be used regularly when our baby arrives. My husband and I prefer to take baths rather than shower. I don't know if you guys have it at your country but most Asian countries they have a fixed on clay or tile container with tap to their bathroom. The method of bathing is by using a handle bucket scooping up the water from the container and splashing it on your body. I love using the bucket as the water is very cold and it refreshes me especially in the morning.

Hi ya Anne18 Hmmm this is a tricky question for me really because I don'tactually have a shower, like an electric one fixed to my wall that I use a switch to turn it on but I do have a shower hose that is plumbed onto my taps and then hangs from an attachment on my wall. So do I have a shower or no?

I have a shower at home, and I usually take a shower each day before I go to bed, a lot of people say that it is good for us to take a bath before going to bed, I am now living at the place where I work, I think this place sucks, because there is nothing like personal bathroom available, I share a bathroom with all my collegues. Not so satisfactory.

You can have one of mine :), I have 4 and my son uses his, but I am a bath person and only use the shower when I am in a hurry and don't have time for a bath.

I dont prefer shower sometimes as it keeps to bath for more time and i get stuck with cold so i manage myself to have own bath which may be of less time so i can feel ok in these winter times...so take it in positive way of not having shower...and you havent missed anything as you get water anyway.
