LCD or PLASMA ?

With growing technology the T.V's too have advanced. The quality of picture is like never before. LCD and PLASMA T.V's are the latest trend. But which among the two is actually better? Which costs more and what are the advantages of one over another?

right now i don't own any lcd or plasma tv.. i have an lcd pc monitor..
if i decide to buy a tv it would be lcd.. i think it's better than than plasma..
