LEEP Procedure and Effects on Pregnancy

Canada

Hey there mylot...I have recently had the LEEP procedure done to remove high grade CIN AKA Dysplasia. My concern now is that all I have left of a cervix is a crater of scar tissue. I have done some reading up, and according to what I have found, pregnancy is still possible, but complications can arise, such as having a weakened cervix that won't hold the baby. I have 2 children already, and with my first, my cervix was weak and this was 9 years ago....so I'll probably have to opt for bedrest or having my cervix "stitched" to hold the baby in. Has anyone else had this procedure done, and if so, what were the side effects of it? Thanks for all your responses.

Thank you Sweet. It's definitely not a nice procedure at all..it doesn't really hurt but I feel rather disgusting atm. And it seems the more I try to educate myself on it, the more disgusting I feel..like I'm missing something (which I am ..lol) but it feels like it's hitting more emotional than it should.
