I've always tried to loose some weight, unfortunately I don't have enough discipline and courage to do so. I always start, but most of the time I fail. Friends encourages me to stay firm, but it seems that I can't. I hope to loose some pounds, but I don't know where to start..=(

When my hubby was diagnosed with Diabetes II and the doc finally told him he needed to lose LOTS of weight, the only thing that made him lose was cutting down his calorie intake, not eating lots of breads or pastas, eating lots of fruiits and veggies, and exercising. He never did cut down to the 1500 calories the doc wanted him to, but he probably has cut down to about 1800 calories a day. (I once figured out that he was eating between 3000 and 5000 a day sometimes! Not from what I was fixing at home, but what he was eating during the day at work.) Personally, I think the only thing that really works is choosing to change your eating habits. Remember, doing something (good or bad) for a period of 28 days will make it develop into a habit.

You can start from eating your meal as much as you used to do. After that, you might want to have an exercise program. Loosing weight is not about avoiding meal. But it's about balancing your calorie intake and outtake. Food is very important for our life, so don't avoid it. What you need is to use your calorie derived from the food you eat for doing something. Failure to do so will make your body deposit your extra calorie into glycogen and fat.

Before I gave you all the answers I got, I want to know why do you want to loose your weight? I mean, if you're not overweight or having obesity, you don't have to loose any weights. Unless you are a model and you need to be looked like the skull in the biology lab, so I can understand your feeling. I am not a thin person, and I can't say that I am slim. I lost my weight not so long time ago because of a deep depression I had made me lose my appetite. But it is not the compliment I received from people around me, they said that I looked messed up with my new look, thinner. How do you explain that? I've told you what I knew but I would let you know how to loose some weight. Drink much, don't eat after 7 p.m, have breakfast and don't skip lunch, you can substitute the snacks with fruit. So some exercise to burn the fat, and sleep properly. That should be a healthy way to loose some weight...

I also have trouble losing weight. I can stay focused for like, a week, but, when the number on the scale doesn't start dropping, I lose motivation. It's best to just give up trying to stick to some diet, and just start making small changes in what you eat. Cut portions in half, eat healthier foods, drink more water, and exercise! Exercise is key. You could eat whatever you wanted and just make sure you burn off the calories. Good luck with your weightloss (:
