I invented a pizza over the weekend

I work at a pizza joint during the evenings, and every shift we can bring home a 10 inch pizza. Well frankly I was getting bored with the basic stuff, meat pizza, deep dish, thin crust....SO, I tried a new pizza that I haven't heard of myself, and I chose toppings that I like. I used Alfredo sauce instead of Tomato sauce, mozza cheese of course, with some parsley sprinkled on top, and the topping? I used Tortellini, meat tortellini. I have to say that it was VERY good and I highly enjoyed it, and plan to get some more.

I'm not fond of alfredo sauce myself, but I'm sure it was good. Its fun to experiment and try new toppings. I sometimes like to think that I would like to try something new, but then I'm afraid no one at my house will like it, so I pretty much stay with the same old toppings. Maybe one of these days I will get brave and try something totally different than what I usually do. Thanks for sharing. If you come up with any other toppings let us know!

Well, what I would suggest, is to make the different pizza anyways, and if they're hungry, well if they're not TOO picky, maybe they'll try it, and make suggestions for you as well. That's where I got the chicken suggestion in the above response. Thanks for responding!

OOO...that sounds good. My kids work at a pizza place too and they are always experimenting with different toppings. They love the chicken wing pizza. They use med sauce from chicken wings for the sauce. They put mozz cheese and then take chicken fingers shaken in hot sauce and put that on top. sometimes they add celery, some times not. Then they dip it in blue cheese...yummy!

...wow, I tip my hat to your kids' imagination lol. I tried the other night, still used alfredo sauce, but added chicken chunks instead....not as good I thought, but that could have been because of the chicken, which was mild cajun chicken...it seemed too chewy. Thanks for responding!!
