Should Delete option be there?

I have many a times due to connection submitted my opinion two times (with different texts) and its simply pointless to SPAM like that. I believe, that certain SPAM which were not intentional can be avoided with delete button. May-be such delete option can be allowed which can delete immediate posts but gets disabled when someone has already responded to it, or the topic-starter has READ/RESPONDED it... What do ya think?

Well... yeah, I know what you mean. I accidentally made a double post because of the internet connection in my home was down for a while. I thought my first post wasn't submitted but when I looked back, there have been two identical posts in a row. I think the delete and/or edit option would be a good additional feature here. Maybe, like the smileys and copy paste feature, someone could have the delete feature after reaching some level, that would be a good motivation too :)

Okay look. Edit option if allowed, any person can edit his post after the target has read it. That is, if some crowd is to be addressed with some abuse, anyone would do it, and then, after keeping it for sometime, it could be edited. Well, if there are so many people, how is Mylot going to be able to handle the edit of so many registrations. Plus, if someone has said something which he realises, he shouldn't just in case, Mylot might take some action - or may be the mylot crowd would turn averse to them, he would edit it. And in doing that, he would actually ruin the flow of the post - what others would have commented would not have any reference to the main post then! Typos can be edited - that is good, but there are always bad uses too - only degree of misuse or good use can decide whether to allow it or not... and I am sure, they aren't going to allow it, unless people petition that it be allowed for few minutes immediately after posting + no body should have posted over it.

SO only, I did say: Let the delete be disabled after someone has posted over it or it has been too long after you have posted....

yes, due to my internet connection, i several times end up posting two exactly same posts/response, or responses with slightly different texts. that's would be good if we can delete the useless post. but maybe it will mess mylot algorithm of earning is there is such an option. for instance, if we post a response to a discussion, and nobody comment on it; than, days later we think that the post will affect our reputation and we decide to delete it, while the post has been considered as a post and counted by mylot to decide our earning. well, i notice that mylot itself will eventually delete one of the double posts. so, i think that's fine so far.

I must slam my head for such an ignorance... but it has been just two times that I have really felt the need to delete the posts, and I didn't go back and see on that topics if mylot really does delete posts. Well, thanks for the reply!

I have always like this idea, so that we can maybe delete our discussions that no one has responded to.
