30 Seconds to Mars: Life After Matt

I'm sure as many of you die hard Echelon members know, 2007 was a big year for 30 Seconds to Mars. This year marked the end of bass guitar/keyboardist Matt Wachter's involvement with the band, and his eventual move to the new formed band Angels and Airwaves with former Blink 182 member Tom DeLonge. Since then, 30 Seconds to Mars has not announced an "official" replacement for Wachter, despite rumors of the band's touring bassist Tim Kelleher being handed the role. With a new album in the works and a bright new future ahead for Jared, Shannon, and Tomo, it's hard not to wonder how Matt's departure will affect the band. Will their sound change, or will it stay the same? How will the group's dynamics shift while adjusting to a new member? Will Tim Kelleher ever be announced as a permanent member of the band? Only time will tell. So I suppose the questions of the hour are as follows... do you think 30 Seconds to Mars will be the same without Matt Wachter? Or will the shift to a new member leave them reeling? Do you even miss Matt, or do you think it was his time to go?
