Several months ago my son was complaining about having headaches all the time. we went to the doctor and he told us to keep a headache log. after a couple months of that he sent him to get an MRI done. It was just an MRI of his brain, there was nothing abnormal about his brain but the MRI did pick up a cyst around his nasal cavity. The doctor then sent us to an ENT. that doctor sent him to get a CT. We saw the cyst on his left side. it is causing him to have a deviated septum. which is cause some exits to close up, and he can't breathe very well out of his nose. He is to have surgery on the 26th to remove the cyst and straigten his septum to open the holes better. He is 10. it doesn't sound like its all that bad, although the doctor said the thing he's worried about is him bleeding out. that doesn't make me feel any better. regardless of whether its a minor surgery or a major surgery, it still scares me, cause its my son. I'm sorry to make this so long, but it makes me feel a little better to talk about it. Thank you for listening. Would anyone like to share their thoughts or stories similar to mine??

Sorry to hear about your son. It's always scary when a child has to go in for any type of surgery. I have a cyst in my sinus which caused a lot of headachs as well. The doctors were never worried about it and have done nothing for it. It really doesn't bother me much anymore. My daughter is going in at the beginning of October to have her tonsils and Adnoids removed and I'm scared out of my mind. I know this surgery will be good for her and stop her from having such sore throats and mild sleep apnia but it still worries me. I'll probably be crying my eyes out when she goes in but I'm trying to be strong for her and I'm telling her that it's nothing and she'll be 100% better when its over and that she gets to have ice cream and popcycles galore. I need some ice cream to make me feel better! Your son will be fine and he'll feel better after but he needs his mom to be strong for him. Just make sure you give your son a hug and kiss and tell him you love him before he goes in and God will be on your side, and give you your son back better. Have faith and stay strong!

my son had that done too. it was hard to deal with but I was there all the way for him. its hard to be strong and I don't show my weakness on the outside for him, but inside, yeah i'm scared. thank you for commenting.
