have you ever bought two pants of the same size, yet when you try it on, you find that one is tighter than the other? it happen to me most of the time. even if the label of the pants indicated the same size number, i would only be able to fit in one of them. is it all in the mind? or there is really some differences between the two pants? come share your views.

It depends on the company that makes the pant, how they're made and what kind of material is used in making the pants. I've had many occasions where I've gone to purchase different pants and although they said they were the same size, they didn't fit the same. It's strange how that happens.

yeah, why can't they make a universal unit for the sizes? it will make things much easier.

It would help. I was shopping for pants today, and a size that used to fit me now doesn't. I also found that one's idea of one size can vary significantly from another's idea, and that really sucks. Especially when you find that you can't fit into what you thought was your size.

YES that is so annoying. But I guess it also depends on the type of pants you buy. I am guessing jeans, well that straight legs, wide legs, boot legs, and many others. I personally prefer straight legs for formal places and wide legs for everyday working as they are way more comfy.

If that happens to me, when I check the tag they are usually made in 2 different countries. you would think that when they made pants for one company - regardless of the country - they would all fit the same. That is just good business practices.

There are industry sizing standards that vary from country to country, but not all companies follow this standard. And, there are different styles that will fit differently. Full seated styles fit different than slim leg styles, for example.

You always have to try on multiple pairs of pants. Even two of the same size. Making clothing is an imperfect science.
