Have you ever experienced Sleep Paralysis?

Sleep paralysis is when your mind wakes up when your body is still in sleep mode, so you can't move. You might feel tingling, numbness, etc. I really freaked out when I first got it, but I thought I had gotten some kind of electric shock, I was in bed so I thought perhaps my wet hair got close to the electric socket or something weird like that. Some people in the past connected it to demons and being possessed!

I might have. These feelings sound familiar. And I think it may have only lasted about 20 seconds, from my knowledge. I don't know about the electric shock, that's pretty weird. I've never experienced something like that. And the whole demon story makes me skeptical. Why the demon theory?

I have had it happen to me when I was younger. I just could not get up of bed so of course, I started screaming. I had to wait for a while until the rest of me caught up with it and usually I went back to sleep, and then I would wake up for certain. I never felt any tingling, but it felt as if I could not move. I suspect that I have narcolepsy so that might account for it because I have to have several naps a day and also I wake up frequently during the night and i have very vivid dreams.
