Hey, got any ideas to help your dog, so he doesn't get bored? Here is one I do. Before I leave the house, ....I make my dog, Blue, sit. He has to stay there. Then I hide some chew bones. I let him see me do this the first time I tried it. After I've hid 5 or 6 bones, ........I leave. He hunts around for them and chews them up while I'm gone. I also throw them in the backyard while he is sitting and watching me, and he does some hunting in the backyard. You have any more ideas? walkgal

My dogs are rarely alone- maybe a couple hours every other month. But, when they are alone, we turn the tv on so they can watch animal planet while we're gone. The sound from the tv makes it so they don't hear every little thing that goes on outside, and they wont spend so much time peeking out the windows. A lot of people I know will fill a Kong with peanut butter and give it to their dog when they're leaving- it keeps them entertained for awhile. To make sure it lasts longer, freeze the kong with peanut butter in it, and then give it to the dog- it'll usually take hours for the dog to get done with it.
