here in the phiipiines there are quite a lot of brand names that serves doughnuts. there's krispy kreme thats just wayyyyyyyy tooooooooo sweet, i mean why do they have to make a junk so sweet?? theres gonuts donuts which is okay not too sweet and soft, theres mister donut which is also not too shabby nut my favorite doughnut is DUNKIN DONUTS, they were number one back in the 90's and they moved up down the list or may be even forgotten when krispy kreme and gonuts donuts took the scene but now they are back, they have improved their donuts, they made it tastier and the quality's just excellent and also they improved the ambance of their stores coz today, food isnt everything, you gotta have ambiance too. i always eat their original honey glazed donut and it is sweet but the weetness that you would want to go for more and every bite, the donut just melts in your mouth. try them and youll forget who you are.LOL its best eaten with coffee. HONEY GLAZED DONUT + BLACK COFFEE = HEAVEN

I have to agree that their doughuts are sooooooo good. I love a coffee roll in the morning. Or boston cream. While their doughnuts are great, I think that their coffee has gone downhill. For some reason their coffee has started tasting like grease. Plus they stopped using flavored coffee and started using those nasty syrups. So gross. If it is coffee, than I prefer Starbucks or the mom and pop doughnut shops.

Oh cool. It's nice to see that someone here doesn't like krispy kreme, lol. I thought it was just me. I don't like the way they taste at all. You get less sugar by downing a glass full of sugar, lol. It's really disgusting. And I agree that Dunkin Donuts are the best because they don't drown there doughnuts in liquid sugar just to make them taste good. And on top of that, Dunkin Donuts has smoothies that taste like heaven.

yeah i freaking hate their donuts! i just like their coffee though, but man they even just give tha plain glazed donuts for free here so how cheap is that jukn right? but people here really loves to vuy their donuts, i dont know why myabe its just the hype because it's "krispy kreme" and its from the US. most people do not know that krispy kreme is already bankrupt in the US and closed many of their outlets and their option is to throw their junk in third world countries.

I agree with you Kiks. Krispy Kreme is waaaaaay sweet but I have to say that I love the Hershey's Cookies 'n Cream donut from them. Yum yum! I remember when I was in high school, we used to have breakfast in Dunkin' Donuts in Balete Drive (cos it's near my school) before classes at least once a month. Their donuts were bigger then unlike now although the taste is still the same. Good thing it's just the size that changed.

I don't like Krispy Kreme donuts at all they are so sweet one bite will make you sick. I would rather have a fresh baked long john from the grocery store they taste alot better. I like glazed donuts but oh how messy they are make sure I have a diet coke as I don't like coffee.

I totally agree with you. Dunkin Donuts are just better than the rest. Not only their upscale donuts but their cheap ones too. The 11 bucks per donut, the only difference is the size and their selling it at the stalls. I remember back when it started during the 80's era. They opened their first branch in Park Square 1 in front of Hotel Nikko, back then they call the hotel Manila garden. The size of the store is similar to Krispy Kreme at Serendra. As soon as you enter the door you will smell the freshness of the donuts and brewing coffee. Ahhhh.. perfect. Talk about ambiance, the place just gives you the eerie feeling of the mountains on the countryside. Their railings are wood and the walls have wood panel. Nostalgic, old skool. I certainly miss those warm and simpler days back then.
