I'm a massage therapist and have recently come across a patient who has had OSD in both knees and has had surgery on one of them. This patient presented with low back pain, knee pain, and foot pain. As I began the treatment I noticed that this person had very tight quads as well as cramping in calves etc. As I realize some of these symptoms are most likely related to his work activities, poor diet and such, but I can't help but think that the knee pain could have something to do with the previos bout with OSD. So, My question here today is... is it possible to continue to have flare ups of OSD through out life or is this an adolesent disease only?
