When is a good time to give a child his/her frist intermens? I have a 3 year old that loves to play with his big brothers Bass. My oldest son allows this to happen only if there is someone eles in the room(me, him, or his step-dad). I was thinking about getting him something like that all his own for Christmas. My next question is what interement do I give him?

I think that once they start to show a genuine interest in an instrument it is a good time to let them try. I don't know any brand names off the top of my head, but I know there are several starter instruments available at department stores. If he enjoys the bass get him either a bass or a six string guitar. Maybe his older brother could help him to learn a little about it. He should still be supervised while playing with it. You never know you might have the next musical prodigy on your hands.

Thanks that is what I was thinking too. Big brother is more than happy to help him out.I know of one brand name that I have heard is good for little ones and that is Frist Act. He aslo likes the drums (big brother plays them too). Looks like he gets one of them for Christmas.
