When I was a child I loved the stories by the Swedish author, Astrid Lindgren. She has written many books, "Pippi Longstocking" is probably the most wellknown, but there are plenty of other great stories. My parents read them aloud to me and so did my teachers. The books by Astrid Lindgren was always a popular choice in my class. Only one of the books on my top 5 list was not written by Astrid Lindgren, and that is the book about Alfons Aaberg. Actually there is more than one book about this character, and I have read them all (more than once or twice) They were written by another Swedish author called Gunilla Bergström. Here comes my top 5:
)Emil of Lönneberga
)Pippi Longstocking
)Alfons Aaberg
)Madicken
)Karlsson at the roof
