when you start new threads, do they figure into the post count?

i'm just wondering since i've noticed this twice already, whenever i reply to threads, my post count goes up, but when i start a new thread, i don't think it does...

Merely starting threads doesn't increase post counts. However, when at least one person has responded to your discussion, your number would go up! Also, when you comment on your own discussion, your number won't go up. But you will be paid for every posts, even comments. Have a nice day!

Your post count number does not go up when you first start a New discussion. It does go up the first time someone responds back to it though. So even if you stay in the No responses area for a while, and someone goes in there and responds back to one of your discussions, your post count would go up. But yes, you were correct when you are actively posting back to another discussion it does help your post count and earnings though.

I do not think they count towards your post count until someone has actually responded to them. I think that is what I noticed early. Start another post and see if my theory is true. I am not positive but pretty sure.

yeah, when i started this thread this morning, my post count was 149 and it stayed 149, and now that you guys have replied (thanks btw! lol) it's 150 so it does go up after the first reply!

It's true that your rating does not go up when you start a discussion, but I am sure that you get money when you start one. We're not really meant to know the rates at which we're paid, so I think the rating thing is just there, but it's not about the actual payment. You will have to wait until morning to see what you have earned. Also, the better your discussions, probably the better money you'll make.
