study shows that drinking water right after eating your meal causes indigestion problem. it is also causing hyper acidity, for the body must equalize the ph balance within your system for digestive purposes, thus increasing the acid it will produce to equalize the effect of the water you have drunk, which will make us feel some pain specially in the stomach region and on the chest part because of hurt burn. haven't you experience that?

I never drink water after my meal. Infact I drink after half an hour after I have eaten food. My father taught me this. If you do not follow this your belly size will also increase. When we eat food, it goes in our stomach for digestion. The digestive juices secreted help to digest the food. But if you drink water, they get diluted and food is not properly digested and sometimes it requires more digestive juices to be secreted. This may cause acidity problems or heart burn as you mentioned. So the best thing I follow is, I never sit with a glass of water or juice while having my meal. Since I get tempted to drink it while eating. After I finish my meal, I drink water after half an hour.
