My son is eight years old. He sometime complaint to me that he got headache. Normally in the morning, especially when he wake-up late and don't want go to school. I think he just give a simple accuse because he don't want go to school for what ever reasons. However I'm worried if he actually got headache or migraine?. Do children also attacked by headache?. When I was child, I didn't remember of any headache. Doctor say, It's possible children have headache.

My oldest son is 10. he has been complaining of having a lot of headaches. We went to the doctor and he had told us to keep a headache log and return in a month. We did that, so he told us to get an MRI to make sure there wasn't anything wrong. that its just possible he is getting migraines. well the MRI showed a cyst in his nasal cavity. we were referred to an ENT. we had a CT done. the cyst is pretty big and its starting to close up some airways in his nose making it hard for him to breathe through his nose. The doctor said it is very possible that that is what is causing his headaches. we won't know until he recovers from his surgery. his surgery is scheduled to be the 26th of this month. Kids do get headaches. I would just keep an eye on it, and if it becomes more of an issue, look into it. good luck.

Good luck to your son. Based on your writing, I think me too need to monitor and have headached log for him. Monitor the headache, what he eat, How's the weather like, what happen before the headache etc. etc. Thank you very much for sharing with us.

I grew up being told by my mother that children can not get headaches. I would complain about my head hurting and she said I was full of it. But now as an adult I know that, that pain was indeed a headache. But headaches are usually cause by something. Could be a cold coming on, lack of sleep, or possible allegries to something or even something more serious. I think that it is quite possible your son may have a headache, right now it could be adjusting to getting up in the morning and not having a good night sleep or with the seasons changing putting pressure and many children are getting sick this time of year. But if it doesn't go away shortly or gets worse I would get it checked out.

Thank you for your respond. SO I know I'm sure children also have headache. I hope nothing wrong with my son, otherwise if he keeps complaining of headache, I will refer it to doctor for further diagnostic.
