I have noticed over the last year that every time I drink a glass of milk that within a few minutes after my stomach hurts. I bought some lactose free milk, but I couldn't drink it. It just tasted to weird. I haven't drank any milk in a week now, but this morning just had to have a glass...Now my stomach is hurting. So does this mean I am lactose intolerant or is it something else?

The best thing I would recommend is to see gastroenterologist. this is a specialist who checks the stomach, intestines etc. or you might want to make a request to see an Internist, this is a doctor whose specializes in internal medicine. My stomach doesn't hurt, I get a lot of gas. I sometime use Lactose Free Milk. Go and see the doctor. If you are not satisfied always get a second opinion. o.k. feel better.

Thank you for the advice. I think I will actually get a referral to see a gastroenterologist.

You may be lactose intollerent. I am and get the same effects and have to rush to the restroom after drinking a glass of milk or anything with milk in it. I can never drink the lactaid milk, I drink the 0% milk. I think its called, but I rarely drink milk any more because I am lactose intollerent.
