How can I format my phone memory when it is virus affected???

My phone(nokia symbian 60)is affected by virus and it can not be switched on.what can you do to remove the virus other than going to a service centre???

what is the model ?? try these Step 1 : dial this number *#7370# if this doesnt work then try this Step 2: Switch off your nokia mobile then press these keys together CALL BUTTON , 3 (on the keypad) and * then switch on the fone it might help you!

if you really intend to format your fone, make sure your battery is at least 3/4, otherwise, recharge your fone first before proceeding. . now, s60 mobiles have 2 ways of formatting. soft and hard. soft format is pretty much the same as factory reset. hard format, on the other hand, is total formatting, meaning your fone will be fresh as new. . to soft format, press *#7370#. the fone will restart, and you're done. to hard format, turn off your fone, simultaneously press *,3,green dial button. then while holding these buttons, turn on your fone. i'm not sure which s60 you're holding, but some display a "formatting" word, some do not. but after the process, your fone will look the same way as when you bought it. . do this at your own risk. goodluck!
