Should I delete comments?

Normally I would say let the comments stay, be they negative comments or postive comments. However, on one of my Triond articles, they seem to be degenerating into comments about a two word "F*** cats" comment, a comment about the "F*** cats" comment and the comment commenting on that comment, and I suspect that if I let this go on, I'll be looking at a comment flame-war...

Thank you for your reply. Luckily, the comments that came after those were good ones, so I think it should be okay now. I was afraid it would degenerate into one of those " you're an idiot, no, only people who call people idiots are idiots, no you're an idiot and here's the reason why," and turn the comments section into one of those battlegrounds for a pointless flame war.

Ah! What a very cute article! I'd definitely delete those comments if I were you. There's nothing constructive about them at all.
