In case you haven't heard, remakes of both the Freddy and Jason franchises are already on their way.... unfortunately. Apparently, the freddy one is a prequel (with intentions of restarting the whole franchise however) and the Jason one is a direct remake of the first except Jason is in it this time whereas in the original... He wasn't, only his mother was. What the hell is wrong with Hollywood these days?

They are running out of Idea's. Some remakes are okay. The Omen wasn't too bad bad compared to the original it wasn't as good. I think some people think that the special effects we have today, adds something to the movie that the original never had. I don't by that, The original Omen movie was fine on its own. I even think it was actually scarier then the re make was. The point is the movie industry seem to have hit a block. They can't come up with new storylines, and ppl love movies, so instead of producing nothing at all, they are remaking the classics. Its kind of sad, concidering all the books out there that would make good, on the big screen but never get the chance.

Don't get me started on remakes! HATE THEM! Most are crap! Freddy, I have been somewhat interested in the before freddy became freddy story. But, without Robert Englund in it, I can't see it being any good. Jason-wasn't in the original. This is why I don't like remakes. They either change the story so much that it's not the same story, or they remake every single part. Which then begs the question, why remake the movie if it's the exact same?
