Should they remake the movie "Them!" ?

Remember that classic sci fi film from the 50s with those giant mutated elephant sized ants, Them! ?
I think it make a very intelligent flick if it was redone the right way in this era, I mean as long as they avoid the "Eight Legged Freaks" route/formula... anyone agree?
