When you're out from home and your hands is kinda dirty do you use sanitizer to disinfect and clean your hands or you prefer to go look for a wash room and wash your hands with soap and water?

I also use soap and water. I have hand sanitizer available in case I need it, but I'd rather use soap and water. I believe a major hospital actually did a study on whether soap and water or hand sanitizer was better, and used only hand sanitizer for a specified amount of time. They found that employees were sick more often using the hand sanitizer. I think the major finding is that a lot of germs get caught under your fingernails and you can't really wash those out with hand sanitizer. :)

When im out and If i really feel that i have to clean my hands immediately and it's not possible to wash my hands with soap and water, i would use a sanitizer initially. When i get to a mall or a restaurant, I'd wash it with soap and water. I actually dont like using sanitizers because I feel icky because most sanitizers here are kinda sticky for me..Best if I can always wash my hands because I think sanitizers cannot really clean your hands as well as soaping it and washing out the germs with water..

i prefer soap and water. it just feels clean to me. plus, with hand sanitizers, my hands feel so dry afterwards. i usually moisturize my hands with lotion after washing my hands!

I prefer antibacterial soap and water, when it comes to washing my hands period. I do use antibacterial hand sanitizer for times when we aren't able to wash with soap in water, for instance when we're taking a long road trip while we're in the minivan. I do make sure those hands are washed thoroughly for 30 seconds in warm water on both sides (15 sec for both sides). I get that timeline from something I read. I believe that soap and water is the best way to ensure cleanliness is obtained. When my oldest daughter (age 6) attended public school, they were avid users of hand sanitizers to prevent the kids from taking a lot time in the restrooms? I thought that was very odd as I remember using soap in water in school and didn't agree with them at all. My daughter even though it would be fine with us that she continued in that same method of operating at home. But NO way Hosea, we nipped that in the bud really quickly. Now she knows that she uses soap and water and besides that she is being home schooled now by my wife. For those curious minds (NO we did not take her out of public school because of the sanitizer thing). There are several other reasons that would take me hours on end just to share on this one discussion. Have a happy mylotting day. (Did you see I made my first mylot milestone 100+ posts) I'm aiming for 200+ before the end of the month.

I like to use both. Not at the same time of course, but I use what's readily avaible to me. That's a good way to ensure success. At least I like to think so. Hand sanatizer is good for when you can't find a public washroom, but if one is readily avaible I take it as well. Soap and water, is soap and water to me.

I prefer to wash my hands with soap and water cause I feel that my hands were so clean everytime I washed it.Rather than using a sanitizer.

When at home i am using water and hand gel or hand washing liquid. When i go out or having a trip i always have sanitizer inside my bag. Atleast it makes me feel clean and confident in shaking hands someone's hands. happy myloting!

I only use hand sanitizers when I have no other option. I would rather use soap and hot water to wash my hands. I've read somewhere that using sanitizers only could actually increase the amount of bacteria in your hands and that it should only be used after washing your hands with soap and water. So I try to do that.

I prefer soap and water. It feels much cleaner and fresher. Because you run the dirt or germs off your hands under running water. If I use sanitizer, it feels like Im spreading dirt and germs all over my hands.
