McCain and Palin Ticket why is it so appealing?

Ok I am interested in finding out why people are falling for this crap! Really did no one learn from the Bush administration not to pick someone based on the fact they wear there relgious beliefs on there sleeves! Honestly she is a danger to womans rights, religious freedom, and the enviornment! She is the next D*ck Chenney you all remember him right? So tell me other then the glasses (that are not hers by the way Tina Fey wore them first) why people are considering this ticket? I also wonder does no one have a problem with the fact she think dinosaurs are only 3,000 years old and ignores facts like carbon dating.
