When I found out in 2006 that I was pregnant with my daughter, my oldest son was getting ready to turn 8.Such a long time between kids.My daughter was born that December.4 months later we found out that I was pregnant again. My youngest son was born the day BEFORE my daughter turned 1.He was 6 weeks early and spent 4 days in nicu.We came home on Christmas eve.I wouldn't change the way things are but with 2 under 2 I get very stressed.I never thought I would have kids this close I cannot imagine how the parents of twins or more feel. What are your opinions of the age thing?

I had heard that the 'best' age gap was 2 years, so when my first daughter was just over 1, we started talking about trying again. By the time I actually fell pregnant and had my second daughter, the gap ended up being 2 years and nine months. Not too bad. They are close enough to play together and confide in each other. Only time will tell if they stay close when they are older. I, too, wonder if mine had been twins how I would have coped, but maybe it's a case of having to cope, because you don't have a choice! As for you, how did your eight year old cope with two much younger siblings?

He was kind of excited. He has a sister at his dad's but didn't get to see her much.I hope all of my kids will be close as they get older. As for me,some days I feel like I am losing my mind but I take one look at my kids when they are sleeping and know that everything will be okay.
