I always see myself cramming everytime I have schoolworks etc. I always do my job a day or two before submissions. I also study a day or two before exams. The thing is I was able to manage. How bout you guys? Do you guys cram? any tips on how to stop cramming?

I don't think what your doing is cramming. The timing seems right to me. My definition of cramming is getting to work the night before school. And I hate it. It never works for me. I'm one of the few students who accomplishes tasks before the deadline. I like to go over my work, embellish it, and have time to edit out some parts all the time.

Same here, sometimes, even given a long time for the preparation of the requirement, i still see myself cramming at the last minute, and as like you, I am able to manage. But of course I cannot deny the fact that sometimes, cramming stop me from giving the best results. I guess, cramming is a product of the lack of Time Management. I am finding it difficult to manage my time, also, sometimes, there are things that are unnecessary to do at the moment but I cannot stop myself from doing (Like my hobbies:craft, writing, etc.). I think cramming is a part of a student's life also, sometimes, we get used to it, but of course it is not a healthy practice. We just need to know which things should go first and try to budget out time.

I agree well i guess we must change our habit of cramming. Time management is definitely a must and more importantly commitment :)

I don’t intend to cram with my school works but it always happens to me. I don’t know why but I always do my school works ahead of time but when one of my professor give us an assignment and the schedule for the submission is earlier to the other; I would do it first and the other assignment are left behind. That’s the time I would find myself cramming to finish the other work. The funny thing is the whole class is cramming just like me. We would end up in one of an empty classroom that we ask for a permission to use. We would stay there for hours to finish our works; the good thing is we always help each other so we could all pass in time. It’s hard when there’s no one to help. Taking a degree in Architecture consumed lots of time. Were always like zombies, we never sleep (just in the class) LOL.

studying - studying and cramming
I know you have always managed by cramming and I first hand know it works, but just think about this way if you can do well by craming a day or two before you have an exam then imagine how much better you can do if you actually took the time and tried to study. Its easier if you study little by little and review over and over that way it will stay with you for longer than just the time you take the test.I would suggest you plan out how much time you have to study and use it wisely and just use the day before the exam to review everyting..Good luck

Cramming only good for people who can still focus even if they know time is running out. Tip: Try to review your lessons durin break time at school and quit taking naps during class. I also cram in fact I just "crammed" my problem set this morning an hour before its deadline. Oh yeah!
