Fasting!!!

My church is on a 21 day fast!!! You can only have juice & water.We are fasting for God's power to show up in our church like never before. Have you never fasted and why?

I have fasted before when I was still going to Church. I understand people do it for the sacrifice and to get closer to God and whatnot, but I don't even understand how people came to the idea that God wants you to suffer.

I too believe on fasting based on the simple concept that make you suffer to get something goo. i rember there are 3 days so far in my life i been in fasting
during my college days (actually for my friend success)
for my dad when he is operated
for my wife for giving a birth of my little angel
