My friend is a little overweight. Now she is planning to have a baby but she is afraid that her body weight will affect her fertility. I hope I can comfort her but I don't know whether body weight will affect fertility. Do you know if there is relationship between the two. Please help her. Thank you.

Well i do know that if your friend is overweight , even if she can give birth , the baby might have high chance of getting high blood pressue and heart attack illness in the future . So plan well before giving birth yea .

There is a relationship to the two but I wouldn't say it would be that big of a thing , very very minor . If one smokes , drinks , is under weight , is over weight etc , all these factors will take into account of one's fertility but there are people all over the world who have something working against them and are still able to have children . So she really shouldn't have any harder of a time then anyone else unless there is a bigger problem with her or her partner . If she tries for awhile and she doesn't become pregnant , she has the right to see a specialist to make sure there are no problems . I would tell you friend not to worry about this at all as worry will also prevent pregnancy in some cases . Wanting a baby really bad somehow makes it harder for one to get pregnant . Tell her to do what she normally does and see what happens and before she knows it she will probably become pregnant .
