Assembling products?

Hello everyone! I was just wondering if anyone here assembles products at home? I tried this once many years ago and was frustrated with what I got, but I didn't stick with anything back then. I've been thinking about trying it again but was wondering if anyone knows if its really worth doing. If so, got any ideas of which ones I should consider?
