Is there some kind of sickness related to chilling?

Hi everyone! Often times I experience it at night when I'm sleeping. I live in a tropical country and so the normal temperature here is hot and even at nights it is hot so I use electric fans most of the times. Sometimes I awaken feeling very very cold and it makes me chill. Really my whole body would shake and I cannot help it. So what I do is turn off the electric fan if I'm using one and would have to cover myself completely from feet to head until I would fall asleep shaking. Sometimes even if I have covered myself already I am perspiring already but still shaking cause I feel very cold. The shaking and coldness only stops when I'm completely asleep again. Should I see a doctor? Anybody who experience it too?
