what type of work is good - which has less hassles, not much to worry about small things, where one can get lots of time to pursue other intersts etc?

The more enthusiasm you have for what you do, the more successful you will be at it, so find something you love to do. I prefer working for myself, but it does involve a lot of hassle. In addition to any actual work I do, I spend a lot of time promoting my services, or finding freelance jobs. I have to keep my own accounts and to fill in my tax form. I work longer hours for much less money, but I do get much more satisfaction from my work. People who work regular hours in employment have more time to pursue other interests. Only if your interests are the same as your work will you have more time for them, when you are self employed.

i want to move into the field i am working preently. but time commitment to work is very high. also rate of success is low if one is undercapitalised or do not have money to hold for over a year. but i love my present profession eventhoug it is risky to getinto the self employed mode. as u said promoting ones services is a key to future earnings. thanks for the suggestion. hope to see you soon at a similar discussion.

If I do an extra source income of a self-employed job then I repair computers such as desktops, laptops or other computer related devices. I do all sorts of repairs such as virus cleanup, backup data, data recovery, recover lost windows passwords, upgrade hardware or software, format and reinstall Windows (mainly XP or Vista) and I further trouble networking problems as well that result in wireless, DSL or even cable internet. I do repairs at home, at someone's home or office. Of course when it gets busy the money is good. I always keep handy PC Tools, software to troubleshoot, hardware devices to do hardware repair or software drivers that are assigned to external components or internally.

I want to set up a business maybe in a couple of years. I am thinking of setting up my internet cafe, an apartment perhaps, and a game-inspired coffee shop. I hope these will all come true. For now I'll do my best being an employee so that I'll be able to reach my dreams one step at a time :)
