do you know what leche flan is? it is custard made of two kinds of milk and egg yolks. some people put in the egg whites, but the result is not as soft. i made one recipe yesterday with 2 cans of milk and 15 egg yolks from large eggs! i mixed everything then let the bubbles settle down. then i caramelized sugar in a tin pan. afterwards i poured the mixture and then steamed it for about 30 minutes until settled. my family loved it! if you want it sweeter, you can reduce the number of eggyolks to 12. but my mother wanted it not so sweet, so i increased the eggs. hehe my husband just so loves it. this recipe made 3 containers and last night we finished one already. it is so yummy, but quite expensive to make, although the recipe is simple. do you know how to make this, too? does your family like it too? good day and God bless you all!:-)

Uh never heard it called like that, but my Mom did something similar one day. Milk and the white part of the eggs only, later on when everything else was warm she poured in the yolks and mixed. It tasted sweet and good ^^. She hasn't done it for a looong time, I guess she doesn't have that much spare time anymore. So I just eat the regular flan you buy in the stores =(. They are good, but lack the natural feel xD.
