Do you try to earn extra money for the Holidays? What do you do to earn it? I make wreaths and bake, both of these things are things I really enjoy doing and the fact that I can make extra money doing them is great. I start by putting up flyers 2 weeks before Thanksgiving offering to save people time and yet the ability to serve home made baked goods with their Turkey. Generally I list 3 pies: Apple, Pumpkin, and Chocolate Cream; and 4-6 varieties of cookies. Then the week before Thanksgiving I put up flyers for Wreaths and Swags, decorated and plain. Last year I made almost $300 between the 2 ventures. It helps that for years I have donated baked goods to bake sales and for events at the community center so people know I bake only from scratch and use only fresh apples and pumpkins from the local orchard. I hate premade crust, it's always to greasy, and most of my recipes are inherited from my grandmother, some were from WW2 era and use maple syrup instead of sugar as sugar was rationed and they made their own syrup. I can't do crafts but have heard that some people makes lots of money with them. What have you tried to make extra money? How well did it work?
