How can we differentiate between love affair and friendship? Is it by the possessiveness?

In our live there must have came a situation in which we have asked such a question to ourselves. Is it a real love or its just a friendship. It happens for sure in teenage especially. When a girl and any stays together for some days people start thinking the same. But many of us think that stay long just for friendship is impossible for a girl and boy and at some point of time it becomes a love affair. But even i have many girl friends who are my good friends and we are not in a love affair. I think that the unusual possessiveness between lovers is the identification mark between love and friendship, do you think the same? Or do you have any other criteria for this.. Come on lets share.. This may help many teenager...

it is something that we all face in life. i had a few friends who are guys. they are really good freinds to me. there was no affair between us. but some other friends thought otherwise. i think most people think its hard to be friends among a boy and girl.

I think that friendship is a very important beginning in any relationship. How the feelings of this friendship are communicated and expressed causes it to either remain just a freindship or go to another level. It is what stirs within and what grows.
