Here in the country where I live in, some people eat dogs. The government made a law about cooking and eating dogs but it seems that the law has always been neglected. In some place dog is their main dish and they are selling dogs in the market and in restaurants. I never want to eat dog but I am wondering how's the taste of dog's meat and why some people like it. I feel pity for the dogs that were captured and put in the slaughter house. What do you think about eating the man's best friend?Would you try to eat it?How do you feel when you see a dog that is being slaughtered?

I have eaten dog meat, not knowing that it was dog meat, while living in a country where it was not prohibited and was widely sold and eaten, i was disgusted when i found out and threw up for several days just at the thought of it, although i knew it was a possibility whilst living there i never thought it would happen, i heard many many stories whilst there of peoples dogs going missing and people being served dog at restaurants and accidently buying it at markets due to the language barrier preventing them from properly understanding what they were being sold, it has a very distinct flavour and smell and would not reccomend it, i have had dogs as pets all of my life and could not imagine that people would even want to eat them, but we eat things that other countries hold sacred so i guess we just have to be open to other peoples ways of life and religious beleifs.

I would never, ever eat a dog. Dogs are domestic animals, pets. I love dogs and hate to even see them sad let alone killed and eaten! I can't even imagine what I would do if I saw that dog meat was being sold at a market or a restaurant. I wouldn't be able to handle seeing the slaughter of a dog. Or really any animal, domestic or not. I don't want to see any of that and I try hard not to think about it. I do know that the animals I eat (I eat chicken mostly) are slaughtered for my nutrition and I feel guilty. I tried to be a vegetarian but lacked protein even though I ate as much non animal protein as I could. I ended up back eating meat - usually chicken or turkey and now and then fish - but I try really hard not to think about what these animals go through. As for dogs, they are wonderful pets, hard working animals, and should be loved, not eaten. I really have no curiosity about how the meat would tatse. I would be sick before I even got near it. I am glad to hear that your government outlawed cooking and eating dogs and I hope those who break the law are punished.
