I Love Buying Books

I love books. I love the romance, history, just about any book that will hold my attention. I'm a thrifter and never buy new books. I could have a small book store with all my books. I do not keep them I share with others to pass around, or donate to our public library where the books are sold to it help others learn to read. I was wondering if other readers are like me.

Hi Luluwell, I enjoy crime, detective, horror and mystery stories. I don't buy new books too - they are very expensive. We have a large used bookstore over here, that runs their sales almost every month. I would usually attend their sales, with my brother, who loves books as well. We often pick up some books each trip, even though we have lots more still unread at home! Those I have read, and do not want, I would give away to the charity organisations.

I can't wait to find new releases out at our Goodwill stores. Our local library has a book sale in the summer where you fill a brown paper bag for a buck and I try and get there early. I donate there so the money they make helps someone else to read and hopefully find the passion i have for reading.

I also love books, it is because I like reading so much. In my childhood, my parents doesn't have lots of money (even until now LOL) but I always insist them to buy me book at least once in a week. My mother liked it when I like reading, so that she saved her money to buy me book. Now when I can earn myself money, I buy my own books and sometimes share it with my sister. I am not giving out my books or sell it for charity. It is because I always have a dream that one day I would have a library full of my books collection LOL

I love buying dog books from Ebay, thrillers or other paperbacks that capture my attention. I like to buy bargain books, good in excellent conditions at half price. However I am bit possessive about my books. I don't like lending much, because most of the times they won't be returned. So I prefer to keep them for myself.

I don't always get rid of mine, but my house is small and I'm running out of hiding spots. I stopped loaning out books that I want to keep because they never find their way back home.

I like to buy books, too. I buy them secondhand off of amazon.com, many you can get for less than $1. It's just hard to find the kind of books I want in thrift stores. I do like to loan my books out, because I have such an extensive collection and others often want to borrow my books, but like someone else said, they are often not returned. I'm 24 now, and I'm hoping to have a large collection of books by the time I'm in my 30's.
