Do you remember your parents telling you not to play in the rain because you might get sick. Well they are liars because I walk home in the rain and I never get sick. I think they say that so they don't have to clean up after you walk home

I do not think that it is that they are liars but that they actually believe being out in the rain can make you sick. It is something many many people believe. And many people do actually get sick with what I believe is psychosomatic illness because of this belief. Sicknesses come from viruses and bacterias...not rain, although if you get yourself too cold from it, you do lower your resistance to illness. Don't assume they were lying, however, just for their own motives. It is probably that they do really believe you get sick from being out in the rain.

I agree with you because it's not just because the rain itself. It's more like how long you're exposed to it and it might increase your chance in getting sick if your body gets too vulnerable to fight off viruses/ bacteria.
