For some reason, turkey seems to be the soul and heart of Thanksgiving for a lot of families. Why is this? All I know is that our family never celebrated a Thanksgiving without the big man (Turkey).Hey I love Turkey, only the wings and legs. Do your family just gotta have Turkey for Thanksgiving?

Hey! I was born in the US and lived there for 9 years. In most Thanksgivings we celebrated, we had turkey or ham. I think the reason why turkey is because when the Pilgrims first arrived in America, they celebrated by eating turkey. My American history is a bit rusty but I think that's the reason why.

We definitely have turkey every Thanksgiving! I love turkey and it's something I always look forward to a lot each year at Thanksgiving time. Somehow, it just wouldn't feel much like Thanksgiving without the turkey! It might sound bad, but turkey is the first thing that I think of when I think of Thanksgiving! I guess it's just so popular that I automatically associate the holiday with it. Yummy! Now I'm starting to get excited about Thanksgiving in a couple of months!

well my family is from asian background so we don't really celebrate thanksgiving. I am not sure if it's religious or just an event like valentine's day. I've tried turkey once with the stuff inside. I got to say it's really yummy. However, I think that the turkey should be kept. Isn't it a tradition? I think the turkey should be eaten every thxgiving since it's the meal that makes it special. It's like halloween without candies is not halloween. :P
