What is the cause of crimes?

As my daily routine, when i woke up every morning, i take a cup of coffee, and watch the morning news, nothing special on the news, crimes here, there and everywhere, robberies etc, i can't figure out, what is the main reason or cause why this people (the bad people) do such things, will in fact they know what they're doing is not right, what is their point and reason? sometimes someone died because of trippings, what is the really the main cause of this? is is Poverty? Genes? hatred? Ravenge? What do you think?

well i think there are more then one reason for crime.. some do it for the thrill.. some do it cuz its how they were raised.. some cuz its the only means to get by and/or are too lazy to get a real job so figure its easier just to steal what isnt theres.. or in some cases if your talkin all crime.. i think some people just snap n do somethin they'll regret for the rest of their lives..
