What do you think of the mortgage crisis?

I just heard yesterday morning that the company that holds my mortgage may be going under soon. I do not see any of the things the government is doing helping the average person. So far, it looks as if they are just bailing out the large corporations again while the average person is suffering the consequences of the greed on Wall Street. I have a flexible rate mortgage and they are quick to raise my interest rates when the rates go up, but when the rates go down, they sure aren't willing to lower my interest rates.
