Is there anything more terrifying than facing an audience of strangers and knowing you have to deliver an entertaining and informative speech? OK, some people thrive on this type of challenge! But the vast majority of us are at least a little nervous every time we have to speak publicly.

I totally thrive on it...I'm one of the weird people. One tip is to know your material like the back of your hand before you go in. That doesn't mean you need to have some canned, memorized, overly rehearsed speech. It just means that you know what you're talking about and can share it with confidence.

Oh, I don't know about that. There are a lot of people who aren't afraid to speak in front of people who are full of sh*t :) That's what sucks for people who hate to speak in public...we don't get to hear all of their wonderful thoughts as much as we should!

A little nervous? I would never be able to do it and it drives me crazy. I keep thinking; why cant I just go up there and do this ? A million people have done it why cant I? I can't even go in front of a judge with a speeding ticket. I freeze. When I was a kid and had to do a written and an oral speech, I would do the written really well and would refuse to do the oral. One teacher gave me an "F" for not doing the oral when I aced the written. B---ch!!. I am so shy even in interviews for a job. I'm very outgoing though in life itself. People would never believe that I was so shy. They sa no way!!! not you. It's not a happy feeling ha ha.

Job interviews are really tough. It's hard to be scrutinized over who you are and what you've done with yourself! Maybe it will get easier over time? Hopefully it can.
