Anyone who doesn't like the Twilight saga?

I've noticed a few threads on the Twilight saga, but they all seem to be positive - I wondered if there was anyone who thought they are overrated. I'm on New Moon at the moment and I have a mixed opinion. On the negative side... - I am 21 and they are clearly aimed at a younger audience than me. I realise this is no fault of the book - just one of the reasons why I'm not sure I personally like them. - I don't think they are that well written. I will probably have a few serious objections to this, but I think they are so repetitive. The first novel mostly consisted of Edward musing on why it was so dangerous for him and Bella to be together - WE GET IT. YOU MIGHT RIP HER THROAT OUT ANY SECOND - NOW MOVE ON TO ANOTHER TOPIC (PERHAPS POLITICS, YOU'VE BEEN AROUND FOR A HUNDRED YEARS OF SO - SURELY YOU HAVE DEVELOPED SOME OPINIONS ON THE WORLD). Also, Meyer uses the same verbs over and over again - grimaced, cringed, hissed, or if someone is in a happy mood, they "grin". Despite this, I do sort of like them for their easy reading nature. I'll probably persevere with them - i'm already finding New Moon a lot less monotonous than Twilight.

some notes on why i personally like twilight: first, it's easy to read. i think this was why you don't appreciate it, because the words are limited and mostly conversational. but that's the essence--it's easy to grasp and remember. upon reading the first book teh first time, i already remembered most of the dialogues. second, new moon tackles a different flow than the first. New moon is about delving deeper into the world of the enemies of the vampires, the werewolves. it's a turn to the story. third, twilight is set at a younger audience that captures the interest of the youth. but let's not foget that edward is more than a hundred years old. i think this is meyer's way of capturing the "older" generation. it's sort of a mix, kind of twisted. but it's likeable
