Do you agree that newer models of cellphones are slower then their ancestors?

I'm talking about cellphones in general of all brands. If for some reason you disagree, do share what phone out performs what older model version. For me, in terms of the Nokia phones, just about all of them just get slower and more tedious to do simple tasks. I miss the old 3210 days where I can text lightning fast with the aid of responsive keys and few options to go through. While I admire how Sony Ericsson models continue their seem interface tradition, I do notice some lagging in keypresses to display on screen. Even some of the newer low end phones are slower then the old low end phones. Would love to hear your thoughts.

My new phone takes longer to load up, and also takes time to exit bck to the main menu when i quit a program. Whereas my old phone loads quicker and exits to the menu quicker, however the few seconds extra my new phone takes doesn't make much of a difference considering all the extras added on.

thats absolutely true buddy!! thats only because .. of the added new features.. when the features keep on increasing ,then the durability and the performance goes down!!! how much can a thing so small can hold? and the designing dept should be knowing that!. earlier we had mobile with basic function . include the camera function also!.. but nowadays the mobile consists of the internet facility too!! and thats to much for a mobile.. and this obviously brings down the quality no matter how ever they try to keep up with the quality.
