How about watching a topic?!?!?!

Well, I just came to think of it. I don't know if its been discussed already. How about mylot giving the feature to subscribe to threads. There are thread at times which you did not make, but some one made and got various responses. You didn't think of replying at that time, but you wanted to reply it, if you have the "watch the topic" or subscribe to the topic (like in FORUMS), it would be great, right? It would ease. You would even get mails or notifications when that topic has been responded or commented. If you are waiting for people to reply to that discussion and see what they are writing, is this a good option? Ofcourse, you can go to the page of the user who created the thread and find it in his profile, but, what if you wanted to see it after a week - only if you could have it in your own profile?
