My name is Scott Harper. I'm an author/screenwriter with 20 published short stories, and three self-published novels. My fourth novel was picked up by Dark Castle Lords Publications ( DCL ) as Book 1 of a series. That book was released on July 10, 2008. There has already been interested expressed by an actress/film producer in developing that book, "Predators or Prey?", as a film. My first two novels are fantasy for teens/young adults. My third novel is action/adventure for adults. My fourth novel is horror for adults. In the summer of 2007 I was contacted, and subsequently hired by, the independant film production company James Tucker Productions, which is based in Pasadena, California, to write scripts for two direct-to-DVD horror films. In October 2007 I was hired by the film company 11th Dimension Films to pen a rewrite of a short film. I have also written other scripts I am currently seeking homes for. Mirage Publications, publisher of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic books, is currently reviewing four story ideas I sent them with their permission. I have also been in touch with Mirage about writing an original adult-oriented Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles novel. Mirage's agent is currently seeking a publisher for the project. As I've had/am having luck with my own writing career due in large part to advice and help from others, I'd be happy to offer to do the same for other struggling authors if I'm able to do so.
