i won the lottery!

Then I woke up. I played the powerball tonight. No winnings. Am I lucky? If you have ever watched the stories of some of the lottery winners of the past, you would say yes. Many have had their lives completely turned upside down after becoming what most of us pray for often. Rich. Not just rich. Filthy rich. Wealty. How is it that someone can win millions and millions of dollars with the flip of a switch, and then destroy their lives losing all of it within a period of time? How could someone be handed several hundred million dollars and blow it? Isn't there something so fundamentally wrong with that. We spend our lives working to become financially free and many never EVER even come close and then there are those that have absolute luck. Or do they? Guess what. Hand me 150 million and watch what I do. Check with me in 5 years. Will I spend some? You bet I will. I'm only human just like the next guy. BUT, I will put aside a set amount to not be touched at all. You could put half of that in the bank and let it sit and live quite comfortably on the interest. Unless you are Paris Hilton or your bank goes belly up under the Bush administration. Oops. Did I say that out loud? Back on topic. How do people blow all that dough? Would you retain you winnings or would you become a statistic? How much is enough really?
